Apply To Be A Mentor
Who can be a mentor?
campusCATALYST mentors are current MBA or MPP candidates with previous consulting experience. Coupled with their professional experience, these individuals demonstrate a sincere commitment to their communities and a strong belief in the necessity of corporate social responsibility. Through the campusCATALYST program, mentors gain significant experience as project and team managers, honing their leadership and organizational management skills.
Mentors are expected to:
Attend “Meet & Greet” event for all students, mentors, and nonprofits at the beginning of the quarter
Schedule and conduct project scoping meeting with the nonprofit client
Meet with your team once a week
Review all presentations before they are presented in class or to the client
Conduct a midpoint evaluation with nonprofit client and with the student analyst team.
Provide students feedback on presentation skills in preparation for their final presentation
Many campusCATALYST mentors will go on to careers in consulting or finance; however, others will join a variety of other professions. Irrespective of field, mentors will carry with them their experience working with community nonprofits and the importance of remaining involved in promoting the social good, whether it be through a corporate matching program, weekend volunteer project in a low-income community or pro-bono consulting for nonprofits.
We are looking for current MBA or MPP students with prior consulting and/or nonprofit experience dedicated to driving forward social change in an innovative, critical and sustainable manner.
